School Update – Monday, September 24

Monday –
Due to recent storms, MCPS has now missed four instructional days. This is a significant percentage of our academic days for the semester. To regain some of this instructional time, Monday, September 24th will now be a full day of school.

The adopted school calendar listed Monday as an early dismissal day for students with a Teacher work day. The Superintendent requested that the School Board modify the calendar and they have done so. The division will continue to look at ways to gain back more of the lost time and will communicate any further changes if and when they are made.
